Auditing

(Chapter 24, section 5)

Auditing the occurrence of relevant events is one of the cornerstones of enterprise security. Auditing serves several purposes, such as compliance, monitoring and analytics. From auditing we require the ability to trace and prove what has happened, by whom and why, especially regarding sensitive operations and data. Auditing also helps detect and analyze attempts to thwart security policies.

This section discusses at a very high level some of the (security) auditing mechanisms in SOA Suite and Fusion Middleware.
