The UMS Adapter does not only have an outbound mode for initiating interactions with people. It also supports an inbound mode, where it polls email servers, XMPP servers and other messaging engines to allow incoming messages to trigger a new SOA composite instance or a call to the Service Bus. We will use this UMS Adapter’s inbound mode to monitor an Inbox for a mail account on a mail server. For each email received in this inbox, there will be an instance of the SOA composite.
